Just for Kids & Teens
At Awaken, we bring together the best of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavior Therapy to help kids and teens grow in confidence and connection. Under the guidance of our Clinical Supervisor, Emily Niemeyer, MA, LBA, BCBA, our child and teen services focus on selective mutism, anxiety disorders, autism, and social skill development. We specialize in helping young people find their voice so they can be seen and heard in ways that feel rewarding, empowering, and aligned with their authentic selves. Our approach is warm, practical, and rooted in evidence-based care, with the goal of fostering independence, resilience, and a strong sense of agency in every child we support. Behavioral Therapy for Kids
-
Individual and Group Therapy
Our clinic offers both individual and group sessions designed to build skills through real-time coaching and guided practice. Families can choose from in-person or virtual sessions, with flexible options to meet each child’s needs. We are always innovating and developing creative ways to make therapy engaging, effective, and fun—ensuring that skills practiced in session translate into meaningful growth in everyday life. Whether one-on-one or in a supportive group setting, our focus is on helping kids apply what they learn with confidence.

Parent and School Consultations
In addition to therapy sessions, we provide consultation services for parents and schools to ensure children are supported across all environments. Sometimes individual therapy isn’t the right fit, and parents may choose to work with us directly to learn strategies and tools they can use at home. We also partner with schools to guide teachers and staff in creating supportive environments that meet each child’s unique needs. Whether on its own or alongside therapy, this collaborative approach helps kids thrive with consistency and care.
